RDP Housing by Province: Contacts and How to Apply
RDP housing applications are handled at the municipal and provincial level. Each of South Africa's nine provinces has its own Department of Human Settlements responsible for delivering housing projects and maintaining the waiting list. This guide provides contact information and guidance for every province.
Gauteng
Gauteng has the largest housing backlog in the country. Applications are processed by the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements and your local metro: City of Johannesburg, City of Tshwane, or Ekurhuleni.
